Tomoyasu Hotei Signature Model
G-SHOCK watches has been testing the limits of toughness since 1983, and this year - in collaboration with Tomoyasu Hotei, an innovative Japanese guitarist, a new special model will be launched.
With the base model of GA-2100, a thin octagon bezel,  motifs of guitar rhythms are printed throughout the band and bezel of this watch. The back cover features a GUITARHYTHM mark, and the buckle has a black ion-plated (IP) finish. A special package also decorated with the GUITARHYTHM pattern identifies this model as one that embodies Tomoyasu Hotei's worldview. This new model is a special collaboration between Tomoyasu Hotei who continues to be a force in rock music in Japan and around the world, and G-SHOCK, the popular timepiece of choice the world over.
 

Tomoyasu Hotei

Tomoyasu Hotei is one of the top guitarists in Japan. He was the guitarist of the legendary rock band BOØWY, which had a major influence on the Japanese rock scene, and then made his solo debut with the album "GUITARHYTHM" in 1988. Hotei is highly regarded for his talent as a producer, lyricist and composer. He gained international acclaim as the composer of "Battle Without Honor Or Humanity," the theme song of Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill." In 2012, Hotei moved to England and performed four successful shows in London. In 2014, Hotei co-starred with The Rolling Stones at a concert held in Tokyo Dome, and in October 2015 he released the CD "Strangers" in the UK and Europe. 2021 marks Hotei's 40th anniversary as a performer, and various live performances, new releases, and a documentary are planned to mark the occasion.
