This exclusive timepiece takes its design cues from Honda's iconic Type-R series, celebrated for its exceptional performance in the world of racing.
The Type-R series is a testament to Honda's dedication to the world of racing, highlighting their state-of-the-art technologies honed over a span of three decades. These high-end sports cars feature the distinctive red "Red H" emblem and a striking white exterior known as "Championship White," signifying their unwavering pursuit of excellence in Formula 1 racing.
The ECB-2200HTR watch celebrates the concept of triumph through its white design. It incorporates genuine Honda paint to highlight various components, including the dial's outer ring, bezel markers, strap, and other parts of the watch's case.
Located at the center of the dial, right beneath the 12 o'clock marker, is the iconic Red H emblem. This emblem carries immense importance for Honda, as it made its debut on the RA272 series car, securing a historic victory in the 1965 Grand Prix race in Mexico.
The dial's backing design is reminiscent of the front grille design found in Type R automobiles, and the window located at the 9 o'clock position is a tribute to the instrument panel seen in previous Honda models. This window features red markers and yellow arrows.
The ECB-2200HTR strap prominently features the codes of all vehicles belonging to the Type-R series, commencing with the NSX NA1, which made its debut in 1992, and concluding with the most recent addition, the sixth-generation Civic Type R FL5. The interior of the strap is adorned with alcantara, a robust material frequently found in the interiors of racing cars.
Honda's dedication to racing is also evident in the inclusion of the Type R engraving on the strap holder, stopwatch start button, and back cover. The strap holder, designed to resemble a license plate, contributes to an authentic and sporty feel. Additionally, the strap is equipped with deep notches to ensure a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist.
This watch comes with a range of functions, such as Bluetooth connectivity, solar charging capability, a world time feature with access to more than 300 cities, a sophisticated stopwatch with the capacity to store 200 laps, a countdown timer, alarm clock, a customizable calendar with language options, an hourly alarm, and water resistance of up to 100 meters.
